I woke up this morning at 9 after going to sleep around 5ishAM last night, you know, cause it was new years n' all. Anyways, I went to work at 12 with the worst hangover which I still have. All day I wanted to throw up, my tummy hurt and I kept feeling like I was going to burst into tears for no legitimate reason. On top of that, the love of my life gave me his number and we indiscreetly admitted our mutual crushes for one another. Anyways, I just got home and the first thing I scope is Jay - Z's new video for "On To The Next One." I'm so impressed, that I have no words. Hov, please come back to Calgary.

1. Smoking (I think it's the most disgusting habit I have.)
2. Procrastination - I have Diplomas,SATS and college applications this month. No more fucking around.
3. Wasting my time on men who have no goals, no heart, just game.
4. Fake bitches, I used to allow you hos to hang around me either because we had mutual friends or I didn't want to shatter your self - esteem. As of this year, #Idon'tgiveafuckness.

I remember feeling like I was the hardest “n*gga” breathin. And I couldn’t wait to prove it. But let’s think. What r we really proving?? And proving what to who?? Everybody knows Chicago breeds the strongest of the strong but I just feel, me, being ya brother from another state feels your pain as if I grew up with you in ya very own household.

You have the ability and mind power to change they way we are looked at. Look who’s watching us young warriors, look who’s throwin us in jail constantly, look at the ignorance in the world. Look at the racist dogs who love to see us down. Lovin to bury us in the ground or in jail were we continue this worthless war on one another. Young warriors…. We are WASTING more and more time. Nas publicized this letter for the video above in which A 16 year old high school student was senselessly murder during a rival gang fight. His name was Derrion Albert. I'm not going to go into detail with how I feel about the video because I'm truly saddened that such a young life had to end that way. As for the bystanders I'm disgusted and shocked that they would just watch for the pure entertainment. I don't know what this world is coming to but personally as a black citizen of this earth, the behavior from both the attackers and bystanders embarrasses me. This whole gang culture, thug life stereotype that young black males follow leads nowhere. All it does is give a bad name to the productive, intelligent ones who are trying to make something of themselves. Gang violence is pure and utter bullshit. I hope justice is served, my heart truly goes out to Derrion's family.

Budddddy, life is toooo goood right now! Not only am I passing all my classes with 80+ but I got two job call backs yesterday! Finally no more strugglin', I can't wait for the cash flow to start coming in! I'm also gunna be able to pay Navi back the full $440 for the Jigga tixs, I have a sickkk outfit for his concert and I'm gunna look soooo good for my sisters stag this Friday! Tomorrow Gaby and I are going to Talisman to work out then after we're both hittin' up Wok Box since we both have interviews in the evening. I'm also gettin' my hurr cut next Wednesday and it's gunna look sick! I'm not telling anyone what I'm doing though, it's a surprise! I was over at necolebitchie reading some scoop and came across Tyra's apperance on Larry King which was mostly centered (surprisingly) about how she's chosen to rep her "natural" hair. I found that topic to be a lil' hypocritical and somewhat humorous. First off, her hair wasn't natural, there might have been no weave or piece up in there but her hair did look to me like it had been tampered with (ahem* relaxed) Might I add, why was Larry King all up in her hair, running his fingers through it n' such? It was a bit creepy seeing as he's about 105 years old...I'm juss saying!

Later on down the page, I read Joy Bryant's response to Tyra making an official "Natural Real Hair Day." Based on Joy's comments, I sense a cat fight coming on..Anyways, regardless of the little side comments, I thought Joy's opinion was well stated and she did make me laugh.

Myself, personally used to relax my hair but I stopped doing that because it was causing more harm than good. I've never worn a weave but from time to time I do wear clip in extensions just for the length. Otherwise I just blow - dry and straighten my hair.

In my opinion weave or no weave whatever looks good and makes you personally feel the best about your appearance is the best choice for you! I just wish black girl hair wasn't such a big deal, isn't there more important things to worry about in the world such as famine, recessions and global warming...?I'd say far more important than whose wearing horse hair or going au naturale...Smh.

Ahhhhhhh oh myyyyy goddddd! The VMA's this year were toooo sick! The performances were insane! Oh and let's no forget the Kanye & Lil' Mama drama, so juvenile but yet still so hilarious! Beyonce was too Ill with her "Single Ladies" set, best part was "where my ring at?!", Lady Gaga was fabulous as always! Everything from the set, to the props, to her extravagant outfit oh and let's no forget the blood at the end! Brilliant! Jay brought the house down as the last performer to hit the stage with Alicia Keys and performed "Empire State of Mind", Bey was right there in the crowd singing along and supporting her man (too cute!) Too bad Lil'Mama had to get all hood happy and show her support for NY when nobody asked. The Mj tribute was soooooooo well done! If only BET could of done half as well. I almost died when Janet came out to perform "Scream"! As for Kanye interrupting T.Swizzle, I'll just let the video speak for itself.
